Davey: Tory ‘disdain and neglect’ led to rise of Reform
The Conservative Party’s “disdain and neglect” has allowed for the rise of Reform UK, Sir Ed Davey has said.
The Liberal Democrat leader said Nigel Farage has “nothing to say” and that his party is peddling “superficial, simplistic, snake-oil solutions”.
Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch has a “sneering attitude”, he said, referring to her recent comments that a typical Lib Dem is “somebody who is good at fixing their church roof”.
Ed also knows he's not even trying, thinks he doesn't need to at the moment. Disdain will do, it's in the Lib Dem blood anyway, mixed with snake-oil.

Try as I might, I still can't see the need for the Lib Dems. The Labour Party is a broad church, including anti-semitic racist Corbynites, pretend technocrat academics and lawyers, Stalinists, Muslim loons, eco fanatics, and Eddie Izzard.
Surely there must be room in there for Lib Dem voters. The fact that they can't find a home in there somewhere means that they must have serious issues getting along with others.
Sam - yes the Lib Dems do come across as people who don't want to get along with others. A middle class party of disdain, attracting people who can't bring themselves to confront the realities of genuine political power instead of just discussing it with like-minded people.
I must confess, that the older I get, and the less interested in the politics of the sorry bunch we have now, I do find wearing sandals with socks very comfortable, and I don't have to be beholden to anybody - rather like the Lib Dems...
Scrobs - and why not? It has to be very warm for me to wear sandals though.
