Many people will have seen these results of a recent Rasmussen poll on political attitudes within US elites, but with a UK general election looming, it is worth a reminder. Our elites are not likely to be much different.
From the video -
For those who are wondering who are the elite 1% because Rasmussen doesn’t spell it out in these clips. It was people who make more than $150,000 a year, have advanced degrees, and live in densely populated cities. And this group gives Biden an 80% approval rating.

Certainly, the lack of clear boundaries between government and their supporting elite has parallels over here. Look at all those business chums who suddenly got rich as a result of Covid equipment supply. And we have become a lot more like America since Blair handed control of the government to the judiciary. "Don't like decisions that common people might make? Just hand it over to the guys you studied law with at Oxford..."
Sam - and Starmer must have lots of chums in the judiciary. He seems to think government should be handed over to unelected chaps with the right credentials. His MPs may be in for some disappointment.
