Mimicking the herd invites regression to the mean - Charlie Munger
What's the cost for this post, AK?Usually, the're failed community 'workers', or worse...Luckily, we don't live in London with the toxic midget at the wheel!
Scrobs - I haven't seen a figure, but at least a few million per year I imagine.
So after Robin Hood killed the Sheriff of Nottingham, they replaced him with a Mayor for the East Midlands Combined County Authority?
It'll be like the P and CC - an extra layer of bureaucracy, bumph and taxation to achieve little, if anything, more than is currently being achieved (or not).
Sam - interesting thought, whoever lands the job, I hope the nickname "Sheriff of Nottingham" sticks. Jannie - yet it's just another layer of bureaucracy and another political actor put there to say "lessons have been learned".
And of course there is no 'No mayor' option on the ballot
Bucko - that would be useful, and if 'No mayor' wins the idea should be dropped.
