The message is - Vote For Daft Ed

Ed Davey defended by Lib Dem MP on ‘daft’ campaign antics: ‘We take politics very seriously’

A Liberal Democrat MP defended Ed Davey regarding his ‘daft’ campaign antics over the past week.

The Lib Dem party leader has been spotted falling off a paddleboard, riding a waterslide in a rubber ring and skidding down a hill on a bike - all as part of his campaign trail.

Speaking on Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg on 2 June, Daisy Cooper MP sprung to Davey’s defence, saying, “All of those stunts are designed to deliver a message, and so when he was falling into Lake Windermere, he was obviously delivering a message about how we’ve led the campaign to tackle raw sewage dumping”.

Previous daft stunts were better. I particularly liked the one where Jo Swinson said she would form a majority government, stood on a policy to cancel the Brexit the country just voted for, lost her seat, and was disqualified from leading the party.

Compared to that, Davey is a cautious amateur.

The line between Celebrities in the Jungle and election stunts appears to have disappeared. Love to watch Starmer eating a dingo's dong though.

Sam - ha ha, I'd already forgotten Daft Jo. Yes she was far more professional than Ed in her approach to daftness, although Ed does manage to look daft.

DJ - I suppose Starmer knows he's no good at pretending to be game for anything. Mr Serious is his political act, although he could unbend enough to show Ed Miliband how to eat a bacon roll.

Good for Eh, Davey. A perfect demonstration of the problem at Lake Windermere.
Yet another turd drops in. Did not look any more polished when he got out.

Doonhamer - he's one of the unflushables.
