It isn't excessively stuffy
At the moment it isn't excessively stuffy in our little corner of Derbyshire. We aren't sweltering our way through the catastrophic effects of global warming. Although it's June 11th we have the central heating on and the gas fire glowing merrily away here in the living room.
In these circumstances a chap is bound to wonder if there is any mention of this kind of thing in the main party manifestos so diligently compiled for the election. For example, right at the front of the manifesto there could be a single sentence pledge to stop lying to us, not only about the climate game, but about everything else.
Then the rest of it would be worth reading, but not otherwise. It's such a pity after all the effort which must have been expended in composing the manifestos, but without that pledge the thing isn't worth reading.
Of course, taking the notion a little further, the no more lying pledge would have to be endorsed by someone reputable. That could be a problem too.

Reform (and Farage in particular) have referred to us being lied to. They, along with that odd Gaza Stalinist group headed by Galloway, are probably the only ones who can suggest this, due to their position as outsiders.
Particularly worrying is the question of why we are being lied to. We can see we are in cattle trucks, and increasing numbers of the passengers disbelieve the line that we are in a new eco-friendly tram system. But where do the tracks lead to?

I'm reminded of the first page in technical manuals "This page is intentionally left blank."
The lies and misinformation which started the climate scam all those years ago, have been loosely papered over and are now used as the 'science', which most people now know, is bunk! Therefore the various 'policies' spouted by the red and blue labourites - and ignoring the LDs, are not actually anything more than, 'more of the same'...
Sam - I think Net Zero and mass immigration are the clues to something, but it isn't easy to say what. We seem to be headed towards a world where far too many people in governments are inadequately analytical and insufficiently numerate. They can't do the job of being in government.
DJ - I always thought that was weird. The next post follows on from the idea.
Scrobs - I agree, it's as if they have wandered into a swamp of lies which is now so deep and so powerful that they can't see a way out of it and lack the integrity to look for it openly.
I’m getting the slightest hint that you’re far from gruntled about things, AKH … wherever could this idea have come from?
James - blimey I was hoping it didn't show. Oh well (:
Never mind the new manifestos - just look at last time's, that is, the one this bunch of chancers was actually elected on.
How many of the promises were delivered?
Exactly. So why should we believe a word they say now? Fool me once, etc.
Peter - it's odd that manifestos seem to have no credibility with large numbers of the the public yet mainstream media discuss them as if they should be taken seriously by everyone.
I've managed (with some difficulty) to avoid turning the heating on, but I have gone back to wearing my winter clothing...
Dave - in the house we're wearing colder weather clothing rather than winter clothing, although it's slightly milder today at last.
