Lao Yang is the logistics guy trying to source local materials via Congolese translator Eddy who speaks fluent Mandarin. We see a catalogue of cultural differences as Lao Yang tries to deal with local Congolese entrepreneurs after the government failed to deliver the materials he needs.

The Chinese are such a backward, primitive people. When we were the racist colonialist bastards who ripped off the Africans,we didn't insult their culture to their faces. The Europeans had the good taste to be hypocritical about their exploitation, and the good sense to know that it wasn't worth the grief.
