Maybe it's my age, but he's one of the few American comedians I "got" over the years.
Jannie - same here. Maybe he wouldn't have agreed, but I reckon his humour was quite British in its understated way.
That's a shame, not only a brilliant comedian, but he also had another career as an actor. His portrayal of an elderly doctor suffering from dementia in one episode of "NCIS" was remarkable.
Dave - I've only seen him as a comedian, but it's easy to see how he could be a fine actor.
