I blame Brexit

Out walking near Rowsley on a fine, sunny day today. I took this photo which Siri identified as Mount Etna. Alarming for Derbyshire folk I suppose but we couldn't see any sign of volcanic activity around Chatsworth.

I blame Brexit. This is the photo, a view of fading autumn colour above the Derwent. However closely you look, I don't think it is possible to spot Mount Etna.

Maybe Siri mistook those burning autumnal colours for lava flow. It's an easy enough mistake to make, and we've all done it. Only last week we had some geothermal engineers investigating a small sycamore opposite our house.

Sam - maybe those geothermal engineers use Siri too, possibly attracted by its geothermal optimism. Much better than drilling enormously deep holes.
