A line from Brum to somewhere obscure in NW London: a folly.

It's hard to believe that Gordon Brown was an able chap when he was young, but he was.

Maybe years in the Blair orbit endimmed him.

As with most pollies, the devil is in what they did not say.
The trains will not be fast going to London.
Young Able Broon. Yes. If only he had not damaged his eye he might been a a very capable Broon in international rugby. And maybe we would have been spared Blair, who really just took advantage of Broon.

Sam - so would I if I inadvertently found myself there.

dearieme - I can believe young Gordon Brown was an able chap. He always struck me as someone who wasn't pursuing his own interests but he did have a severe dose of politics and never shook it off.

Doonhamer - the project has disaster written all over it. Everyone concerned will be staggered if it ever turns out to be worthwhile, but the perpetrators will be long gone.

James - and nothing else from the look of it.
