Predicted Collapse

This video pulls together some of the bad news which has been coming out of China for a while. Predictions of outright collapse may or may not turn out to be sound, but a significant risk of major upheaval seems sound enough. It's not looking good.

Surely there is still time to save themselves if they throw open their borders and adopt Net Zero policies? A bit of confusion over how many sexes there are would also act like a tonic.

What is the worst that could happen to China?
Too many homes built so prices collapse. We should be so lucky.
The rest of the world realise that Warble Gloming is a scam and stops buying Chinese solar panels and windmills?
We decide that we do not want Apple phones, Apple, Dell, and the rest, computers. We don't need no steenking steel.
Don't they realise that GDP is not about actually making stuff, but is about shuffling more and more invented money about.
Every new Diversity Enabling Officer increases GDP.
Every "Why did that public boondoggle go wrong inquiry" increases GDP.
Every "Fact finding jolly to nice countries far away" increases GDP.
Every complete balls-up of a H2S rail link or Scottish new ferries increases GDP.
The mad fools.

Sam - ha ha - yes I'm surprised they aren't keen to copy our success with such policies.

Doonhamer - that's another aspect of this prediction, the world needs China. Another is that it seems to be caused by a single individual and that can be dealt with. Things don't look good but the difficulty with predictions is that human behaviour changes in response to problems. We'll see.

DJ - one man rule seems to promote that peril unless advice is sought and accepted.

James - sit back and watch, it's all we can do.
