King's Christmas message: Charles focuses on shared values in time of conflict
The King's Christmas message has emphasised the importance of "universal" values shared between major religions, at a time of "increasingly tragic conflict around the world".
Against a backdrop of conflicts in Israel, Gaza and Ukraine, he pointed to Jesus's words: "Do to others as you would have them do to you."
King Charles also talked of protecting the planet as being a spiritual duty.

He evidently wants people to fly a lot, build noddy-towns in the Dorset countryside, live in traditional opulence, shoot creatures for fun, conduct long-term adulterous affairs, and lecture him about how he ought to try harder to protect nature and animals and family life.
Because that's what he does to others.
Charles the Daft in England, Charles the Daftie in Scotland.
Why can't the silly bugger simply restrict himself to something such as the plight of the red squirrel?
Never saw it - fast asleep!
Much better for the soul!
Sam - and apparently he doesn't see it. No mirror turned on himself in his philosophy. He doesn't even seem to realise how political he is.
dearieme - ironically, if he did restrict himself to something such as the plight of the red squirrel and a few other similar causes, he'd probably become quite popular. The kindly eccentric could work well for him.
Scrobs - I didn't see it either, just read the main points which were predictable anyway.
But the "Universal Values" are a luxury belief that only the well-off can afford.
DJ - yes that's it and he doesn't even see that it is a luxury belief and how far removed he is from the real world. Maybe he thinks his organic farming brings him close to such things but it doesn't.
My other half wanted to see it, to see how he was getting on. My reaction is the same as the others above.
Tammly - I can imagine quite a few people watching out of curiosity, to see how he does it after his mother doing it for so long.
