Cash incentives for GPs under Labour’s radical plan to cut NHS waiting lists
Doctors will be given £20 each time they consult with a specialist to see if there is an alternative to hospital visits
Having GPs and hospital specialists talk to each other certainly sounds radical. Paying them to do it? No, that's not radical, that's the NHS failing to be a health service.

No, that's paying them again for doing what they're already being paid for.
Whichever way … it’s all to do with the cash (or digital imprint).
Jannie - yes, a fiddle which will be fiddled further.
James - and as we know, it's how Labour sees NHS failure - underfunding, always underfunding.
"Hello. Is that (name of consultant)? If I claim that I've consulted you, I will get £20. If you back up my claim, I'll give you half".
Rinse and repeat. What on earth can go wrong?

I foresee software in surgeries which pings a message to the relevant consultant, who quickly pings back a "yea" or "nay". Thanks very much, George, usual cut applies, and I'll see you on the golf course on Friday.
Penseivat and Sam - that's it, what on earth can go wrong? What were they thinking of?
