I suspect it would last a lot longer, though, and a long heavy coat is always a good idea if you don't need to be too agile. The main problem with this stuff is trying to dry it out, and whereas the hobo could always build a roaring fire of old wood and train-oil in a deserted marshalling-yard, we'll have to rely on a heat-pump.

Sam - maybe it's not "technical" enough for Rab but yes, drying it out would be a problem in the future.
