On-the-run chemical attack suspect granted asylum in UK after sex offence
A sex offender hunted over a chemical attack which left a girl and her mother with potentially life-changing injuries was granted asylum to stay in the UK despite his conviction.
Abdul Ezedi, 35, from the Newcastle area, described by police as having “significant injuries to the right side of his face”, is still on the run, having last been seen at a supermarket in north London on Wednesday evening.
The sighting came just over an hour after an attack on a 31-year-old woman, believed to be known to Ezedi, who was with her daughters, aged three and eight. All three remain in hospital.

But should a group of vigilantes dispense justice there would be a furore of condemnation.
I don't support vigilantism - but you can imagine their reasoning: "If the police and the courts won't take action, we will."
DJ - I'm surprised it hasn't happened already, but in spite of all the propaganda our culture still clings to tolerance.
The most important thing for our useless liberal establishment is to head off criticism of their de facto "open doors" policy. Expect the "significant mental health issues" defence to be trotted out in the next couple of days. Apparently, importing mad people is OK.
Sam - I agree, this is bound to activate the mental health defence. He could give himself up now saying "golden demons told me to do it" and there would be establishment sighs of relief.
