One of Isaiah Berlin's profoundest observations is that many of our values are incompatible: we might favour certain outcomes and policies, but it is impossible to arrive at a society where we can have all of them at once. One of the signs of left and liberal ideology (mainly influenced by Marx) is this tendency, that they advocate policies and outcomes which solve multiple problems. This gaslighting muppet is trying to claim that a plant-based diet will prevent global warming, make us healthier, and probably prevent animal cruelty. Oh, and make us less unequal.

I wonder why anyone peddles this obvious type of falsehood. I suspect that they have looked at the prototype ideologies that claim to solve all problems at a stroke (Christendom and Marxism and Neoliberalism are the main contenders) and noted that the are the ones that tend to inspire unquestioning loyalty.

Sam - I'm sure that's it and an orthodoxy which solves multiple problems attracts second-rate problem solvers. They undermine more robust and pragmatic problem-solvers.

This is probably why the guy peddles such an obvious type of falsehood. It has become a safe 'solution' which is no solution at all, but the other second-rate bureaucrats peddle it too.
