Rwanda asylum scheme: Archbishop of Canterbury hits out at government plans, saying they are ungodly

The archbishop's unexpected intervention comes after criticism for the scheme from Labour politicians, human rights groups and the United Nations.

The government's plan to send asylum seekers to Rwanda is "opposite the nature of God", the Archbishop of Canterbury will say.

Reverend Justin Welby will use his Easter Sunday sermon to criticise the government scheme that will see refugees who reach the UK through illegal routes deported to Archbishop of Canterbury.

I don't know how Welby became Archbishop of Canterbury, he comes across as a Lib Dem politician rather than a man of God. The Rwanda scheme may or may not work, but it is clearly intended to implant the idea that illegal migration to the UK means ending up in Rwanda. It's government psychology and rather clever in my view. Sufficiently humane too.

Archie is so woke it's no wonder that the Frankfurt Schoolers are having such an easy time with their master plan.

Of all those celebrities and public figures who said they would be happy to personally welcome asylum-seekers into their own homes, this Godly and caring man is the only one who has actually been as good as his word.

And can you imagine how personally difficult it must be having to share your extensive and luxurious palace and grounds with a hand-picked refugee family?

Blokes like Welby exist in order to give the word "tit" a new lease of life.

Jannie - yes, he's so woke he seems out of place, as if he ought to be head of some useless woke charity.

Sam - from the outside there appears to be no fire in the chap, no determination to make his position morally distinctive.
