I wouldn't be at all surprised, but there is little direct evidence other than the loose talk about running the presidency from his basement. It's also quite likely that there is a far wider team - probably including the Clintons - who have a word here and there and offer advice and inducements and threats to the right people. It's the sort of claim that will never get firm evidence to back it.
Sam - Obama strikes me as too idle to be vigorously active, but would act as a figurehead by hosting informal gatherings, making introductions and the occasional speech and generally nurturing whatever he sees as his legacy. Evidence is always likely to be circumstantial, unless a whistle-blower or two pop up, but his political involvement seems very likely to me.
Yes AK, Obama could do a certain amount of directing, but it took many more thinkers to carry out the rigging of the 2020 election or the courting of Iran.

Tammly - yes it did take many more people but I suspect Obama was willing to be a third term focus for it all.
