This dual strike, the first for 63 years, means the entertainment industry will grind to a complete halt almost immediately.
Without writers and actors, very little can be achieved.
I've fired up my online concern detector but at the moment it reads zero. I've tapped it a few times and put in new batteries but nope - it still reads zero.

Trouble is, with no circuses, people will start grumbling about the quality of the bread.
Although in retrospect Lockdowns were deeply flawed it was very pleasant to see the roads traffic free and streets devoid of people hurrying to get things done.
I guess that the strikes in the entertainment industry may be a welcome break too.

DJ - Mrs H mentioned quiet lockdown roads this afternoon as we drove through heavy rain and heavy traffic. Strikes in the entertainment industry certainly would be a welcome break and perhaps genuinely entertaining.
James - yes, a drastic change would be welcome. Simpler, less absurd, less political.
If it means less production of super hero movies, and ultra woke repeats, this strike could be a blessing. Repeats of classics such as The Maltese Falcon or It's a Wonderful Life, instead of Indiana Jones meets Ant and Dec, can only bring smiles to the faces of intelligent people.
