I tried tennis one summer. I gave it up as too dangerous - I got a really nasty ankle injury. After that I stuck to rugby, squash, football, badminton, and the occasional cricket match. And croquet. Fine game, croquet.
dearieme - I am alluding to Wimblebore. I used to enjoy tennis but haven't played for decades and haven't watched Wimblebore for years. It became another celebrity circus ages ago.
