A guid New Year tae yin an' a', unless you're in the Democrapic Republic of Scotland, where the party has locked it down for reasons known only to the scum at Holyrood.

Thou art being rather unkind, Jannie, to our tartan fascist friends.

And a HNY to AKH and everybody who hangs around here.

Lang may yer lums reek.

'Tis the season to take decs down, tra la laaaah, tra la la la...

Happy New Year Ak, and thank you for so many posts last year! I really can't keep up with them as I'm a very slow reader, hence comments on one in three, but that helps me to get my breath back!

And I always like comments from your commenters, as we all seem to be a similar sort of bunch, and I hope that one day, we'll all meet up in a pub somewhere and compare notes!

I'd love that to happen!

Sam - thanks and Happy New Year to you and yours.

Graeme - it may open one bleary eye. Anything is possible as they say.

Doonhamer - thanks very much and thanks for dropping in. Makes it worth doing.

Jannie - thanks an yes, even from this side of the border it all looks politically iffy.

Dearieme - thanks and Happy New Year to you. Lang may yer lums reek too.

Scrobs - Happy New Year, I can't keep up with the internet either. There's far too much out there.

Well if we were to meet up like Scrobs suggests we would all have to reveal our geographical regions and triangulate a mid point to locate a pub to meet in.
