Google's head of diversity is slammed for saying 'Jews have insatiable appetite for war and killing' in 2007 blog post which argued they should have more 'compassion' because of the Holocaust
- Kamau Bobb, who is also an 'Equity in Computing' don at Georgia Tech, wrote a 2007 blog post, which remains on his website, titled: 'If I Were A Jew'
- Bobb writes: 'If I were a Jew I would be concerned about my insatiable appetite for war and killing in defense of myself'
- He evokes the memory of Kristallnacht, a Nazi pogrom against Jews in 1938, and Holocaust victim Anne Frank to question why Jewish people lack 'compassion'
Maybe I'm not cut out for a career in the diversity game because that seems like a rather basic blunder to my inexpert eye. I certainly can't envisage myself going anywhere near that kind of role, but maybe Mr Bobb never envisaged it as a possible career move in 2007.

Yes, diversity is a tricky subject, and, like you, I can't claim to be an expert. I'm not sure, but I think it's OK in such circles to hate Jews. The reasoning is that Jews are privileged and successful, so are obviously oppressing someone; plus the fact that some of them have been known to retaliate when attacked by Muslims, who are of course beyond reproach in everything.
The Labour Party run courses in this type of thing if you want to look deeper into it.
...and there is quite a significant difference between having no compassion at all and having not as much compassion as you would like (even if it would lead to self destruction).
The Labour Party, luckily, have The Guardian and the BBC to excuse their disgraceful conduct.
Why 'diversity' has to be paid for by the state is a peculiar issue, and one I will ignore for as long as I like!
Sam - yes it does seem to be OK to hate Jews in such circles and the oppression inherent in success does seem to be the reason. Doesn't seem to apply universally though, so maybe a Labour Party course would explain it. Imagine how grim that would be.
DJ - there is also political compassion where other people do the work and taxpayers pay for it. That can be laid on with a trowel and doesn't lead to self destruction.
Scrobs - the BBC just loves middle class fantasies and Labour seems to have gone the same way. Not interested in ordinary working people.
