No wonder he's never around
Starmer and his Justice Secretary represent two of England’s most crime-ridden constituencies
Sir Keir Starmer and Shabana Mahmood, the Justice Secretary, are the MPs for two of the constituencies with the highest crime rates in England and Wales, new analysis shows.
Birmingham Ladywood, where Ms Mahmood is the sitting MP, has the second highest number of crimes of any constituency in the past year with 38,111 offences, equivalent to more than 100 a day.
The Holborn and St Pancras constituency of the Prime Minister comes third with 36,090 crimes in the past year, or just under 100 a day.

Perhaps flying off on foreign junkets is the equivalent to hiding behind the sofa?
And those figures don't include the criminals in wastemonster.
He doesn't see a problem until the crimes involve resisting what he hopes to achieve. If they are OK with taking money from our farmers to send to farmers overseas, then presumably immigrants mugging and burgling on our streets is just a rough form of social justice.
DJ - yes it does come across as hiding behind the sofa because he also comes across as a chap who avoids whatever unpleasantness he can avoid.
Jannie - particularly those on the borderline where the law doesn't quite apply as it should.
Sam - yes, we do seem to have a focus shift away from crimes against the person towards more nebulous crimes against the state.
