Excellent! Potholes are useful because they bring wildlife diversity to our urban streets, and employment to those working in the automotive suspension trades. I'm pleased to report that our local authority is following suit and digging some for the communities here in the south.

Ah but I've also heard that stagnant water in potholes presents a danger of Weils disease.

Sam - we saw some fine examples in Eastwood today. Almost up to third world standards.
Tammly - good point, it might also be worth testing for blue-green algae in some of the bigger ones.

@ Tammly - considering how easy it is to put at least one wheel in the damn things, I doubt that any contain "stagnant" water!
