So many layers of rhetoric
Environmental damage should be criminalised with up to ten years in jail, says anti-Brexit campaigner
Gina Miller, who shot to prominence as an anti-Brexit campaigner, has warned that the UK has fallen well behind the EU in terms of environmental protection.
Ms Miller, who came to prominence bringing legal cases over Brexit, said: "Brexit has allowed us to weaken our environmental rules and dilute our climate ambitions.
"We are not only pitifully lagging behind Europe, but we have lost all credibility as a global leader in environmental protection.
There was nothing she did not remember— wrongly; but her halting facts were swathed in so many layers of rhetoric that their infirmities were imperceptible to her friendly critics.

Splendid. Claiming Global Leadership© is a vanity placebo for inadequate politicians.
She is only a single person. If you think her anti-Brexit rhetoric is disproportionate then ignore her. Paying attention, even disapproval, only increases her visibility.
Environmental damage being building bird blenders of course.
My mate down the pub did wonder who was funding our Gina, and what did she have to do, to get that funding? Very cynical, my mate.
Penseivat
Guinea girl knows where she can put it.
Notice people like Gina Miller never refer to anything that Britain does that is (or was) superior to the EC. For example, our common law system over their napoleonic code, (one of the reasons I voted Brexit.)
decnine - I like "a vanity placebo". If we're only lagging we need to lag some more until we're out of the race completely.
DJ - unfortunately I suspect there is enough funding and enough vested interests behind her to attract the usual suspects.
Nessimmersion - much of which can't be recycled.
Penseivat - does your mate think it's something to do with whips and PVC?
James - where nobody sane would put anything.
Tammly - I agree, common law is a big plus we should never have compromised. A stupid thing to do.
Or was that British Guava or Gooey-ana?
