His most telling point is the amount of coverage the BBC gave to Sturgeon. I've never understood it.
My son pointed out to me that the SNP fortunes were looking up, as Humza Yousef is the First Minister in two senses. He's the head of the government, and also the first not to be arrested (so far) on criminal charges.
BBC and Sturgeon. She was not Tory, anti Trump and pro - EU. Also of acceptable sexuality. Why would she marry a semi senile old rich man. Poor old Swinney always walked a respectable couple of steps behind her and if there was any bad news to issue he was shoved to the front. All, any, good news was reserved for Wee Nippy. She was quick to gralloch Alexander Elliot Anderson Salmond when she got the chance. She is the trans modern Holy Wullie. (Good poem - read it.) Always suspecting that somebody in Scotland is having fun. "It's got to be stopped." Good riddance.
I doubt anything will come of the current investigation into party finances - at least not for Sturgeon. A couple of people will be thrown under the bus - the former national treasurer, maybe her husband, but no consequence for her.
The *real* potential criminality, at least as far as Sturgeon is concern, surrounds the stitching up of Salmond, and as long as nobody's talking about that then that suits her to the ground - a bit of minor financial irregularity is nothing in comparison.
I think the way it will play out is that no financial no wrongdoing will be found on the part of Sturgeon, meaning that from there on in then on she will be untouchable - any future allegations against her about anything else can simply be waved away as just another tedious attempt to discredit her.
Stewart - I'm not closely tuned in to SNP politics but I suspect you are right. It still amazes me that so many voters stay loyal to political parties which won't ever do anything for them, not just the SNP.

Sam - dearieme who comments here passed on a good one -
"Nicola Sturgeon is the first former FM or PM to be arrested in the history of the UK, since Alex Salmond."
Doonhamer - I'll read "Holy Wullie" although I'll probably have to resort to a translation.
