Only a bureaucrat

Heat health alerts issued by UKHSA for the whole of England amid hot weather

Heat health alerts have been issued for the whole of England for the next week amid the continued hot weather.

The UK Health Security Agency said all regions of England have been placed under a yellow alert until 9am on Monday, June 19.

Only a bureaucrat could adopt the term "heat health" as the basis for yet more pointless activity. Part of every summer hectoring campaign I suppose.

It ought to be astounding that there are people who go to work, draw a salary and build up a pension for doing this kind of work without thinking this is infantile garbage, I shouldn't be doing it. But as we know, it isn't astounding at all.

Here's my "heat health alert":

If your bitch is in heat, she doesn't need any extra health care beyond what you would normally give her. But if taking her for her normal walk is a problem because of the attentions of male dogs, make sure you give her plenty of supervised play in the garden.

They cannot even cobble together a decent alliteration.
Unless the words should be spoken by an Eliza Doolittle.
And Sam Vega. We just had a 17th Century pub renamed because it had Bitch in the name. Mind how you go.

Sam - and if you have a male dog, make sure that dodgy bit of fence is fixed when the bitch next door is in heat.

Doonhamer - there is a Knockerdown Inn near Carsington. I sometimes wonder how long that name will last.

I've already had two Water Alerts from Southern Water!

I will presume that a hosepipe ban is in the offing, as they've done bugger all about increasing capacity for the thousands of new homes being stuffed into the South East and fixing leaks!

The country could save so much money with appropriate job cuts.

Knockerdown?
There are a few Cock Inn pubs about the place.
My favourite being on the A747 on the shores of Auchenmalg Bay.

Scrobs - there's not much political kudos but plenty of earache in building new reservoirs, while hosepipe bans help with the climate propaganda.

Tammly - and there are lots of jobs worth cutting.

Doonhamer - that rings a bell, we once went caravanning somewhere near that area. Very windy it was as I remember.
