Sam and Scrobs - we must have people who could debate in that way, but they seem to be kept on the fringes. The BBC probably has much to do with that.
I don't suppose she's heard of the saying "When you've reached the bottom of the hole, stop digging!
Dave - she didn't seem to know about the hole at all. It's mind boggling to realise that she thought her position was defensible among rational, sceptical people.
