Green Altruism

TikTok to remove climate change denial videos and direct users to 'authoritative information'

TikTok said the changes, which are being rolled out ahead of Earth Day, would help "empower accurate climate discussions" and "reduce harmful misinformation".

Under pressure from governments over privacy and safety concerns due to its Chinese ownership, TikTok has toughened its stance on harmful content over the past year.

Apparently we are still making too much stuff. It's only right to give the poor Chinese a chance.

Is it possible for them to ban the disgusting slimy gloop they sell in 'restaurants'?

That would help to avert climate change as the reduction in flatulence would be real progress!

Well continue to remember, Twitter and TicToc are not the real world.

We all know it, but the strive to 'help "empower accurate climate discussions" and "reduce harmful misinformation"', is just to silence anyone who doesn't believe the narrative, so the doomsayers can remain in their echo chamber and not have to listen to alternate viewpoints

Just read the article
"TikTok also said it was removing eating disorder content"

You can be sure this won't include fat whap influencers who teach that being a land whale is beautiful and healthy

Tammly - and not particularly close to the real world.

Bucko - and refusing to listen to alternate viewpoints is an odd attitude when we are supposed to celebrate diversity. The fat influencers are a good example of how strange and inconsistent it all is
