UAH Global Temperature Update: 2022 was the 7th Warmest of 44-Year Satellite Record
January 3rd, 2023

Interesting, but the satellite record suggests nothing remarkable for 2022. I wonder if the BBC has chosen to reiterate the nothing much going on theme -

European weather: Winter heat records smashed all over continent

National records have fallen in eight countries - and regional records in another three.

I wish the Beeb would be consistent with their temperature colours.
Six months ago scary orange meant temperatures over 25C.
Now it seems to mean temperatures over 5C.
Don't they realise that this could lead to deaths as people go out dressed for a nice 26C but find that half way up Snowdon hypothermia kicks in.
Cue Beeb full OB team helicoptered in to report on yet another Global Warming catastrophy. All kitted out in New Helle Hanson gear.
Now, quick, back to the 5 star boutique hotel for cocktails.

Doonhamer - that's a good point. Mrs H and I often mention how many people we see people wearing shorts or a T-shirt or even both in cold weather. They probably only check the weather forecast colour before going out. Then they keel over with hypothermia attributed to Covid.
