Jason Knauf's new evidence was revealed during the second day of an appeal by the publisher of the Mail On Sunday against a High Court judge's decision that the publication of the letter was "unlawful".

Apart from the legal point that if she penned it believing it might be leaked then her original case is trashed, I'm wondering who on earth sends written letters these days? If she wanted a chat then emails, WhatsApp, etc. would normally do; whereas if she wanted some binding decisions from the old guy then that's what lawyers are for.
Sam - it always seemed rather odd although maybe she has no online contact. As I recall, the letter seemed to have been written with the likelihood of it being published in mind - that's how the tone of it and the language struck me at the time.
