World leaders take control of the weather

COP26: World leaders reach most significant climate deal since the historic Paris Agreement

World leaders have reached the most significant climate change pact since the landmark Paris Agreement, following a turbulent two weeks of fraught negotiations in Glasgow.

With a stroke of the gavel, COP26 President Alok Sharma has brought the talks to a close after almost 200 nations finally reached consensus on how to navigate the climate crisis.

Of course they are intent of taking control of our lives, not the climate. It was never about the climate - that narrative is for the gullible and people who sit on motorways.

Gosh! What a breathless theatrical cliff-hanger! We still don't know whether we are in the clear or whether we are all going to die soon.

I guess everyone is now waiting for the nail-biting sequel. This one could run and run!

Book now for COP27. And the most significant agreement since COP26.
If we are spared.

Not easy to take in the faux Sharma 'fighting back the tears', for Christ sake it was hardly anything of note, just a large room full of shysters wanting ever more money to shovel into Swiss bank accounts.

What a load of nonsense. The English have about the same chance of controlling the weather has winning the Revolutionary war. The soar losers are still at it.

According to Paul Homewood at 'Not a lot of people know that', Cop 26 is a complete failure and it is the end of the UN Climate Initiative. I hope he's right.

Sam - so enthralling that the private jets have already been booked.

DJ - COP26 and Godzilla perhaps.

Doonhamer - they ought to be able to predict which will be the last COPnn due to catastrophic heating.

Wiggia - maybe he hasn't yet set up his own account, hence the tears.

Anon - or of defeating William the Conqueror.

Tammly - I've been wondering about a possible switch to annual WHO jamborees with endless scare stories about pandemics and general health issues.

After COP35, all the hundreds of private jets were banned (from being seen by the public).

Ed - all available pictures and videos of the event being "adjusted" by AI image processing to show delegates apparently arriving by bicycle.
