A Suggestibility Project

Interesting stuff, but ultimately I'm not convinced. The material from the art group just seemed like standard art-wibble which loads of artists use in order to draw attention to themselves; it's vague and portentous without actually saying anything. And on the other side, the bloke presenting it seemed a bit obsessive, determined to find meaning and connections in things. The meeting of these two is fertile ground for conspiracy theories. The initial stuff about CIA ownership and sponsorship was more convincing, but there was not enough of it.

And overall, the idea that the CIA is involved with Disney makes the CIA seem more creepy than the other way around.

I watched it through, he made a decent case for CIA involvement but, like Sam, I'm far from convinced. Although if we'd heard about some of the stuff they were doing fifty or sixty years ago at the time we'd dismiss it as twaddle. The stuff they are producing is very slick but a decent studio set up can do some really good looking videos. Considering their funding they must have top tech at their disposal. Add in that art colleges the world over are churning out some awesome talent. The messages are a bit disturbing and are the type of thing which could be a small component in the overall psyop.

One thing is true beyond all doubt: we don't know what's in store for us.

Sam and Andy - I'm not convinced either. I think there is something in what he says, but it seems to be more of a drift away from reality as life has become more comfortable and as we consume more media content.

For example, middle class concerns such as the arts where much artistic effort makes no sense but does not wither and die. Or middle class political abstractions which make no sense but are heavily promoted and seem designed to detach people from reality.
