Poor get poorer under Labour
The poorest households in Britain have become poorer under Labour despite Sir Keir Starmer’s promise to improve living standards.
Spare cash left over after bills and essential spending for the least affluent households has shrunk by 2.1pc since Labour was elected in July 2024, data from Retail Economics shows...
Graham Stringer, the Labour MP for Blackley and Middleton South, said: “It’s disappointing but it’s not surprising given that our energy policy subsidises the affluent middle class via subsidies to expensive cars, to heat pumps, to other things, and increases the size of the bills for poorer people.”
Graham Stringer doesn't seem to be keen on Ed Miliband either -

Labour's spreadsheets don't take into account issues like percentages of income, but there again, it's just the nasty little gnomes in their grubby back-rooms doing the figures, the political fronts just do the lying...
Scrobs - yes, they read the scripts and take the money, doesn't seem to be much else. Those who want to do more don't seem to make it to the top.
