What inspectors found when they checked more than 50 Lancashire funeral homes
More than 50 Lancashire funeral homes have so far been inspected after the government recommended local councils check up on the undertakers operating in their area. The Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) can reveal no concerns have been raised following the visits so far carried out across the county.
However, the majority of Lancashire’s local authorities are yet to complete – or even begin – the inspections, while two have said they have no plans to do them at all. The Ministry of Justice wrote to all councils with environmental health responsibilities in April and strongly suggested they assess the funeral parlours in their patch in order to ensure they were caring for the deceased properly.

What a damn shame that the caped crusaders have hurtled forth from the bat-cave, and found absolutely nothing of any interest.
It's almost as if we don't need such a service, but I'm absolutely certain they'll find some outrage if they keep looking.

Bucko - I didn't see it coming either, BBC tentacles seem to be everywhere.
Sam - I'm absolutely certain they'll find some outrage too. They probably expected to find a gruesome one with this.
If the BBC can afford to fund such activities they:
a) have more of our money than they need
b) are establishing a beachhead to spread 'approved news' amongst the locals.
Take this together with their fact checking and disinformation approaches and you can see the 'Ministry of Information' growing before your eyes. Not by jackboots but by organic hemp sandals.
