Well, the figures are in, and they are beyond belief. The equivalent of the entire population of Leicester in one year. And that's just the ones who are here legally. When we have an energy crisis, a housing crisis, an NHS crisis, a transport crisis, and pressure on green spaces. Proof of a common theme behind both Labour and Conservative policies; or that neither have any idea how to get things done. The most disturbing thing about this is that it is the biggest change ever to be inflicted on this country, and nobody ever consulted us.
I'm pretty sure that Nigel Farage will get back into mainstream politics again, as this problem is only going to get worse,so he's hopefully timing his new 'arrival' on the scene to hurt the Tory party when it is at its lowest, which can't be far away!
Here, in Tunbridge Wells Borough, an Independent party known as The Alliance was formed to clip the wings of the Tories, who always expected they would run the Borough forever. At the last election, every Tory party voter we knew voted for the new lady,and she and her colleagues wrested overall control from the Tories, and as such, completely quashed a ridiculous people's palace project which would have been a financial millstone around our necks for years to come!
If that was translated into national politics, we may even get a result in a similar fashion, and I sioncecely hope we do!
Sam - yes, it's extremely disturbing from a numbers and resources perspective and because we were never consulted. It feels like some kind of perverted political vengeance to me. It could be incompetence but feels too extreme for that.
Scrobs - we certainly need something like that. It's no good expecting conservative politics from the Tories.
