What a shame! Perhaps the company forgot to cost for maintenance, having believed all the hype from Gore etc. It looks like this company, DeWind, has been allowed to abandon their slicers, which shows America has very lax laws regarding these environmental hazards. Even if DeWind went bankrupt, their corporate insurance should cover the clean-up.
They were not lacking enough wind, if the video is typical.

Bit of a blow, that.
I would have loved to have found a site like that when I was a boy. Abandoned stuff, mysterious machinery, the fun of eluding security guards. Bliss!
Ed - as you say, the video suggests there was plenty of wind. Maybe too much wind because there seems to be a fair amount of damage.
Sackers - maybe the wrong type of blow.
Sam - so would I although it all looks rather large scale.
