I had a go on one as a young teenager, when a younger child allowed me to ride his. It was quite hard to steer, and I remember the saddle being slippery and difficult to sit on - a bit like sitting astride a log. Still, some clever marketing, and many millions of hours of happy cycling!

Sam - we never see anything like them on bike trails. All the kids we see are on traditionally constructed bikes. As you say it was clever marketing.
