I'm still not sure I understand what these 'mares' actually provide to any community?
I do know that the bloke on the right (sic), was a 'leader' of the old GLC, and half-ruined London at a stroke, then made it worse when he became 'mare', the little middle chap was once an MP, so therefore pretty useless, and now we have a Boris...

It's life Jim, but not as we know it (although I doubt 'life' is the correct term for the brain-dead).
The one on the right is an ancient life-form. I thought it was extinct. It lived among newts or somesuch, but they were too clever for it.

Ed - it certainly isn't life as we know it. Not easy to make sense of such people.
Sam - I always wondered if the newts were supposed to make him come across as harmlessly eccentric.
