Although the work does appear to be of a reasonably high standard, the whole thing is already a little flaky and the services of a professional restorer may be required at some point.
However there has been a considerable level of interest in The Spare Part although as usual in such cases, interest is likely to wane soon enough.

Apparently one needs an extraordinary sensitivity to different shades of brown to understand the work at all.
Sepia certainly improves the colour of Hewitt's hair, but Sparkle fades into the background (I wish!)
Sam - maybe the acute sensitivity is a cultural thing, not easily acquired by those outside.
Ed - I keep thinking of him in that way.
