One Balmy Tuesday Morning in the Operating Room

A Don Martin cartoon of course. This video channel has lots of them.

Don Martin is one of those phenomena that I would probably never recall for the rest of my life unless reminded. So thank you! A real benefit of the internet! I used to read my big brother's "Mad" magazine, probably understanding about half of it, nearly 60 years ago. I particularly liked "Spy vs. Spy".

I last saw "Mad" in the early 1980s, and I thought it was rubbish. Had it deteriorated, or had I just grown up?

Sam - I recall Mad magazine humour as being patchy as this kind of humour often is. Very American too, so satirical references to US TV programmes or celebrities didn't always work here. I particularly liked Don Martin's cartoons for the humour in his drawings rather than the gags which didn't always work either.
