Not a recent video, but a useful reminder of the background to the Elizabeth Holmes fraud trial. I wonder how many of us understand a character such as Elizabeth Holmes because most of us are just not like her. Conscience and aspects of the real world appear to be blotted out by something most of us don't have and don't really share.

She was ahead of her time.
A couple of years ago she could have produced an anti-covid "vaccine" and be the multi billionaire saviour of the world.
At least for long enough to squirrel away her dosh and disappear to some secure tropical island.
Doonhamer - or she would have claimed to have produced an instant covid testing machine to be used at the entrance to every public building. A strange character.
She is indeed a strange character, a person to whom 'chancer' would be a most apposite description. But additionally, I think that her actions were also initially mediated by that very American indomitable 'can do' spirit and when things began to go wrong, she decided to tough it out.
Tammly - what I find strange is that it should have been obvious to her that there was no scientific or technical breakthrough behind the claims. She should have known it would fail.
But is she really so far away in mentality from the many people who for instance insist that a modern economy can be run on wind and solar energy and without oil and gas products, which can't possibly be viable.
I myself have worked in a company very like theremos and the head of the concern was a deluded narcissist like Miss Holmes. Usually, dishonest acquisition of large quantities of cash lie somewhere at the bottom of it.
