The government has invited the UK’s world-leading innovators to help design a new ‘space age’ hospital
The hospital could use technologies and techniques pioneered on missions to Mars or the International Space Station to help treat patients and make life easier for hard-working NHS staff.
Whatever next? Pandemic isolation suites on Mars? Has the feel of a Matt Hancock idea to me -
Health Secretary Matt Hancock said:
This trailblazing collaboration – bringing together exceptional scientists from the UK Space Agency and Hampshire Together – will help us apply space age innovations to building hospitals of the future.
The UK is unashamedly pro-tech and these government-backed medical advancements will give our amazing NHS access to some of the most innovative technologies.

The fact that you state that a politician claims that this is a multi-million pound project is the give away. April Fool.
Multiple-millions would not even cover the preliminary inquiry into the possibility of having a full investigation of the feasibility of doing initial proof of concept trials.
Of the colour scheme and project mission statement and logo.
April Fool? Must do better.
I love the idea of "exceptional scientists from Hampshire Together". All those Silicon Valley and NASA types flocking to Gosport.
Doonhamer - yes the money is a giveaway. Budgets don't go that low even for a lick of paint and a new logo.
Sam - maybe "exceptional" just means diverse.
First April Foll I have seen this year. Well done
Anon - and they haven't even taken it down yet.
