On the other hand David Lammy does not get to be acting PM.
One word from Starmer and nothing he pronounces happens.
There is only one way to look at this.

DJ - a huge bonus, he'll have to stick to Mastermind.
Tammly - it's uncanny, he's clearly not a betting man.
Chris - especially if we remember that Starmer was the best they could come up with at the time.
Starmer resigned, did he? Never noticed.

Exactly in what way is Burnham supposed to be an improvement?
What does he represent other being not-Starmer?
James - there isn't much to notice, he's hanging on, hoping something might turn up.
Peter - he has more expressive eyebrows, I think that's the main improvement.
Presumably, Burnham will get a better pension as an ex Prime Minister than as an ex Mayor, but I cannot see there being any improvement in outcome for the UK.
John - yes, signs so far are that it's positive for Burnham and those he chooses to promote, negative for everyone else.
I never minded Davey falling in the water. I only became upset when he surfaced.
