She is brilliant, and getting better each time.

Amesbury's self-inflicted plight is going to be one of the great joys of this administration. They'll either throw the book at him, or they won't. If they don't, there will be all manner of difficult comparisons with people getting banged up for tweets or shouting at a police dog.

And everyone knows that the punishments for street violence are so risible and the police hardly bother turning up. This should raise the "2TK" issue right to the top of the agenda.

For all the arguments about mobile phones and cctv and their impact on privacy it is wonderfully glorious that one of the Party is shown up and records cannot be 'lost'.

Sam - yes, this was one of here best. I saw a comment recently saying that there has been a shift in severity where crimes against the person are losing ground when compared to crimes against the state.

DJ - yes it is wonderfully glorious and possibly a sign of something important where the Party can't yet suppress whatever it wishes to suppress.
