Inundated with points of no return

Warming world nearing 'point of no return', says Pope Francis ahead of COP28 climate change conference

In a new document - Praise God - released ahead of the conference, the pope highlighted the transition to renewable energy from fossil fuels was not progressing fast enough, which could have a devastating impact on the planet and its people.

Pope Francis has appealed to world leaders to address climate change before it's too late, warning the planet is nearing a "point of no return".

I would refer his holiness to 'The Extinction Clock'. That would cure anyone of 'points of no return'!

No return means nothing when we're all travelling on a single ticket . . .

Tammly - interesting isn't it? I bet he has never seen it though.

Jannie - good point. Maybe he means no return to catholic popes.

Ah, it's COP time again. This one's in Dubai, apparently. I wonder how many delegates won't fly in, or use air conditioning, or cars. Or eat any food that's not locally grown without irrigation.

They'll probably be able to say hand on heart that they've noticed an increase in temperatures, though.

I have a file of bookmarks of failed predictions by Global Boilers. The scam has been running for more than thirty years now and yet the ice remains in the Arctic and Antarctic, the ocean islands are above the waves, the Great Barrier Reef flourishes still, and it snows in Britain.

What crooks they all are.

Sam - I don't know how they perform at that level of hypocrisy. It's almost impressive.

dearieme - yes they are crooks. The Extinction Clock mentioned by Tammy is good.
