We’re Saved! UN Climate Bureaucrats Hold Another Useless Meeting
What a grandiose mouthful of verbiage.
The Subsidiary Body for Implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (SBI-UNFCCC) just wrapped up its latest session in Bonn, Germany. Abbreviated SB64, it was the 64th meeting of this austere group of “multi-stakeholder coalitions” — politicians, government bureaucrats, business rent-seekers and “civil society” activists — some 7,000 strong.
They chattered and schemed for ten days (June 8-18) to set the stage and agenda for COP31, the 31st UN Conference of the Parties, set to take place in Turkey later this year — the annual gathering of climate-obsessed and cash-hungry countries.
No man is able to borrow or buy a sound mind; in fact, as it seems to me, even though sound minds were for sale, they would not find buyers. Depraved minds, however, are bought and sold every day.

I'm always amazed that such numpties are allowed to waste millions of pounds chasing an invisible version of a fantasy beyond anyone's requirements or actual need. There must be a sort of super-idiot given these mantras to recite by a super-super-idiot
The climate change Emperor has no clothes but the most earnest of the courtiers still refuse to risk their status by acknowledging reality.
Scrobs - yes, it comes across as a huge petty scam, with lots of opportunities for mediocrities to carve out well-paid careers they have done nothing to deserve.
DJ - it's a pity we don't make more use of words like 'courtiers' in the political arena because that's what they are.
