Why is Starbucks closing stores ?

This guy is right - there is a funny side to this. Grim but funny too. Oddly enough, a Guardian report on the story doesn't mention crime. Must have slipped their minds that criminal activity necessarily involves crime. It's what we call an essential feature.

I would imagine that if you have anger management issues and are just about holding it together, then a big shot of caffeine and sugar would tend to set things off.

And yes, it's great when the woke companies receive a practical education.

My memory may be wrong but I believe that a couple of years ago they abandoned their old policy that only customers (and staff presumably) could use their loos. The new policy was that anyone could wander in and use them.

Shazam! Problems with drug addicts, the homeless, and general crime.

Astonishing.

Sam - maybe Starbucks could tackle the anger management issues with a range of cappuccinos lightly sprinkled with delicious Valium-infused chocolate.

dearieme - I think you are right and this has caused some of their problems in certain areas.

Tammly - and eventually a commercial outfit prefers not to fund unreality.
