The Bonzos were amazing. I'm the Urban Spaceman, Intro and Outro, Canyons of Your Mind. I did not know if it was satire of pretentious tosh - MacArthur Park comes to mind as well as stuff by Seamus Android (Eamon Andrews really), Windmills of Your Mind- but it was loved by my then late teen generation. And then there was The Ruttles. Big Stanshall and Neil Innes are sadly missed. Thanks for this post.

Excellent. I saw Innes live at a Fairport concert at Cropredy in the 1980s. Very funny.
I just googled him and found he died a couple of years ago. I didn't know, or had forgotten. That's sad.
Neil Innes with the worst harmonica breaks known in the Western world. You have to be very good to deliberately sound that bad.
"I've suffered for my music, now it's your turn."
Sackers - yes he was an original. A very nice chap too apparently.
Sam - I remember reading about his death because it was one I noticed. There is something sad about losing unique talents.
Bill - yes, I can't play the harmonica at all, but I still could play it like that.

Doonhamer - lines I always remember are -
In the canyons of your mind
I will wander through your brain
To the ventricles of your heart, my dear
I'm in love with you again!
Bill - oops - I mean couldn't play it like that.
