Well yes - it's the kind of thing the EU does

Don't change rules to allow another confidence vote, health sec says

Conservative MPs should not change the rules to allow another confidence vote in the prime minister within a year, Sajid Javid has said.

Tells us which type of MPs might suggest such a move though.

Those that are gagging to find a way of getting rid of Boris have not yet outlined who could replace him and what the new policies would be... a love for the EU that dare not speak its name perhaps?

Bearing in mind the mantra 'anyone but Trump' resulted in Sleepy Joe Biden, people should spend some time considering the possible unintended consequences of removing Boris Johnson. Like a Labour/Liberal/SNP coalition.

Yeah. It would be even more horrible.

DJ and Tammly - I agree, Boris doesn't have much to offer, but the alternatives have even less.

We are royally fecked.
Which Tory MP inspires confidence?
Which of the three Parliamentary Parties will give you what you really want?
But if you live in the UK outside of Scoatlaand you are relieved of having a forth bunch of bankers to vote for.
My right-on tablet has done the Freudian of changing wankers to bankers.
And it did it again.

Doonhamer - I agree, none of the three Parliamentary Parties will give us what we really want and they don't intend to. Ever.

We could always try the American system, where a non-politician can be elected, who then chooses others to fill various offices. I would suggest, in no particular order, Neil Oliver, Mark Steyn, and Nigel Farage.

Penseivat - I suppose we could elect non-politicians here, but we are too wedded to the party system.
