Bomber Biden - it didn't take long

Biden takes first military action with strike on Iran-backed militias

The US military has carried out an air strike targeting Iran-backed militias in Syria, in the first military action undertaken by the Biden administration.

The Pentagon said the strike was ordered in response to attacks against US and coalition personnel in Iraq.

The action destroyed "multiple facilities" used by Iranian-backed Iraqi militant groups, it said.

Militia officials said one person had been killed, while a war monitor reported at least 22 fatalities.

As many have said, covert opposition to and undermining of Donald Trump almost certainly came from those who make huge amounts of money from blowing up foreigners. It sounds as if Joe has dutifully pushed that particular button.

Joe finds himself in an interesting position. Bombing groups that are sponsored by Iran, while simultaneously going soft on the Iranian nuclear programme. What could possibly go wrong with that strategy?

Which Biggles novel would you think most appropriate?

Yup, here we go again. We all knew he'd do this, but it's still depressing.

As it's that old fart, it's good. President Trump's similar actions would not be good.

The BBC report thinks Mr Biden is a saint.

And still the MSM morons insist Trump was a dangerous warmonger. The Mil-Ind-Complex has four years of catch-up to get back to their obscene level of killing non-Americans worldwide - otherwise all the replacement weapons and ammo will not be needed (& that will not help the 'economy')

He's doing his bit for the US economy: after all, the military's various branches are America's biggest industry.

Did he ask Congress's permission first?

Sam - yes, he makes it obvious enough that there is no longer much of a brain behind the strategy.

Sackers - blimey I didn't know there were so many. I've never read one, but maybe Biggles Sweeps the Desert fits.

Mark - it is depressing. So predictable.

Scrobs - yes, Trump would have been depicted as a mass murderer.

Ed - I bet there are a number of new weapons they are itching to try out. All hideously expensive of course.

Jannie - and they probably won't be satisfied with this little excursion.

Graeme - the internet doesn't forget, although one day it probably will.
